Water Excitation Pulses
Question: Water Excitation Pulses
do in a binomial RF Pulse there is correction of the phase between water and fat? that a binomial RF pulse no phase correction between water and fat? ===== The RF-pulses in a binomial composite series are typically applied with the same phase shift. It is the timing between the pulses that allows the fat and water protons to get out of phase with one another. Hence in the figure in the middle of the page, the B1 field producing each of the two 45° pulses is directed along the axis coming out of the page toward the reader. Having the center of the second pulse occur exactly at the predicted time when the water and fat protons are 180° out of phase is what allows the fat signal to be nulled and the water to be maximally excited. |
